CALL TO ACTION: Volunteers Needed Across Canada for World Food Day Napkin Campaign
Help fight hunger on World Food Day this October by volunteering with CPAR’s United Against Hunger in Africa Napkin Squad!
In a time when more than 239 million people are hungry in Sub-Saharan Africa, not only are we at CPAR on the ground supporting food security for farming families in vulnerable African communities – we’re also motivated to to inspire action among Canadians by raising awareness.
The United Against Hunger in Africa Napkin Campaign
During the week leading up to World Food Day (October 16, 2011), restaurants and cafes across Canada will distribute napkins custom-designed by CPAR to raise awareness about food insecurity and hunger in rural African communities.
We Need Your Help!
We are looking for energetic and outgoing Napkin Squad volunteers to help us spread the word by distributing United Against Hunger in Africa napkins in local restaurants and cafes across Canada in the lead-up to World Food Day.
As a member of the Napkin Squad, CPAR will send you a bundle of custom-designed napkins at the end of September. You will then hit the pavement to invite restaurants in your local area to participate in the United Against Hunger in Africa napkin campaign by using our custom-designed napkins on World Food Day. Restaurants, diners, coffee houses, cafes, cafeterias, conference centres, dinner parties and special events – anywhere where napkins are used is an ideal target. Participating establishments will use the World Food Day napkins during the week leading up to World Food Day on October 16th.
As a member of the United Against Hunger in Africa Napkin Squad you will have the opportunity to raise awareness about food insecurity in Africa in a creative and memorable way.
Sign up today to join CPAR this World Food Day and Unite Against Hunger in Africa!
